TALKING POINTS

Buyers seem to take more interest in purchasing condos/townhomes in 2021 with an increase in total units sold of 31.5% over the previous year, while single family residences had an increase in total units sold of 2.2%.

Despite the increase in building materials in 2021, there was a large increase in land sales of 60.8% over the previous year. This could be a result of decreasing inventory of single homes - supply and demand.

The average sales price of a single family home has increased 16.8% over the previous year. Great news for sellers thinking of putting their home on the market!

Fun fact: The highest selling home in Vermont in 2021 to date is located in Stowe and closed in August for a whopping $33,735,317.00! Surprisingly the highest land sale in Vermont was also located in Stowe and closed in August for $6,264,683.00. At 42 acres, this parcel is worth $149,159.12 per acre.
